We went to Blockheads the other day for lunch (the place we wanted to go to we couldn't find, so we ended up there). It is not our favorite Mexican place, but they were very nice about seating us in the back away from everyone else and providing a high-chair for Loren. I'd love to post the pictures I took from my camera phone when we were there, but this is what happens when I try to do that:

OK, I know this is a free service, but I am one more fracked up post away from quitting and moving to another service. And Blogger? I'll take all my friends with me. And they will take their friends. I have at least 10 other people who went with Blogger purely on my recommendation from 3 years ago when you didn't suck. But now you suck. Suck, suck, suck, suck, suck.
Get your crap together. Seriously.
I have a very limited fucking window these days to post anything, and I am getting really really pissed off that when I try to post I can't get pictures up or a post up or both.
That's it. I'm done. I'm taking suggestions for a new blogging service right now. Leave your suggestions in the comments.

Are you sure it's not just your particular account that's somehow hosed? I mean, I'm not one to normally stick up for blogger, and have railed against them often when they screw stuff up, but at the same time I haven't had any problems recently uploading photos. Are you doing this through your cable connection or the connection managed by your work (I assume you have some VPN operating, so basically I'm asking if that's in use when you try and upload). Because if it's through your work, maybe they're blocking a port that's trying to be used.
If you're not using the account through work, then try this as a test: create another blogger account, and upload the photo there (and save it as a draft or something). That's how I've tested stuff in the past (and why there's a blog here with nothing in it) and that's where photos I use on Strangers get uploaded. I would be surprised, but maybe your account has hit the 300 MB limit for photos (although I find it hard to believe that limit is actually enforced).
I've not had any problems with Blogger of late when trying to upload pics. Give jamesf's idea a try.
My biggest problem with Blogger is sometimes it decides it doesn't feel logging me in correctly and I end up in my old blogger account, not the beta v2 or whatever they call it now one.
If you're going to ditch, I recommend getting your own hosting and using Wordpress. Dreamhost has been great for us, and for our 10 bucks a month we've got 225GB of space (I don't know where new accounts start, but they add 1GB space and 16GB bandwidth every week -- we've had our account for 3 years.)
If either you or James wants to play around with Wordpress I can set you up with accounts on Cookbooksmasher.
One thing I forgot to mention that you should at least try. Switch the browser you're using and see if you get the same error with different browsers.
When blogger picture upload is acting up I'll use Google's Picasa and use the create blog entry into a dummy blog. Then I'll rip the the html out of the dummy blog and put it into the blog I'm actually working on. Picasa has always worked - even when the blogger picture upload has been flaky.
"Are you sure it's not just your particular account that's somehow hosed?" I am having the same problem, and googling the error code brings up lots of others. I've tried Firefox, IE, clearing cache, clearing cookies. I sometimes get caught in a vicious cycle of logging in, seeing my dashboard, creating a new post, then being told that I have to log in when I want to publish said post. The most fun is when I try to log out and it tells me I must be logged in to do that.
