Went to Sears to get bags for the vacuum and the amount of paper receipts and coupons and crap spit out by the register was unbelievable. Here, for your comparison, is one of the three packages of the bags, alongside the stack of paper I was handed upon check-out. The bag of bags is smaller than the sum total of the register receipts.
Am I the only person who finds this to be crazy?

Nope, not crazy at all. To make matters worse, register receipts aren't always recyclable with regular paper, say computer or newsprint. (At least last I checked, but I've been in Mexico for two years where recycling is a guy on a bike that digs through your trash.
