Stardate 61257.21 - Taxi Fire

As Cheryl is trying to put Loren to bed I suddenly hear a car horn going on and on and on and on and I'm thinking, "Dammit, what is that guy's problem?!?"

Nothing cool like that ever happens on Sesame Street.

Didn't Mr Hoopers store catch on fire once? I'm pretty sure we have the video of that incident somewhere (and yes, I know you were talking about where you live).

So Curt, how long did it take for the car to be completely engulf and toasted? And get video next time. :-)

I thought New Yorkers were tougher than that? You mean a fire was excuse enough to keep people from yelling at the driver to stop honking? NYC has gotten soft!!

Video will come soon. I just have to run it through and editor to shrink it down from the 86M size it currently is.

Ho hum. I saw a cab engulfed in flames on my way to work a couple years ago. Been there, done that.

I will admit the video is pretty cool, as long as the driver/passengers got out before the fire spread to the whole car. If not, it is very tragic.

That's rather wild! Last time I saw a car on fire was going to the Toronto airport to catch a flight home. Just prior to the exit there was a Ferrari on the side of the road with the back engine on fire and flames shooting up. Most likely the car sat in the garage and the gas lines rotted, sprung a leak onto engine block during use, and ignited - poof went the Ferrari.
