Stardate 62367.01 - CA Day Three

We got up early on our first morning in Yosemite and after breakfast in the room we headed down into the valley to go to our first stop: Bridalveil fall. We took some pictures as we drove down into the valley.

There was a tremendous amount of very cold mist in the air at the base of the falls, and Loren was not too happy about it! We did find a nice couple to take a picture of all of us at the bottom.

We have this great "piggy-back" backpack, which would make hiking with Loren much, much easier if she would just consent to use it. Unfortunately, this is the only picture of Loren in the backpack looking happy. All other times we used it, she wanted "out!".

Next, we drove over to Yosemite Falls. By this time the sun was out and things warmed up a little.

Loren's favorite activity turned out to be throwing little sticks and rocks into the water. She could (and did) spend hours at this activity during our vacation. Nana taught her well!

Loren fell asleep in the car on the way to Glacier Point, so after sitting in the car for a bit we woke a very cranky Loren up and walked up to look at the incredible views.

The famous Half Dome.

There was still a lot of snow on the ground up at Glacier Point, and Loren got to throw a snowball.

Very cool pictures.

Throwing rocks into creeks and ponds must be a kid thing. Quinn used to do that all the time when we took him to the park even before he was even one (he still does it out back in fact).
