Stardate 60050.3 - Anyone Else Got a List?

I posted a blog entry about my list a couple of days ago (thanks, Steve, for the answer that this concept appeared on Friends). I didn't get many comments on it. I'm curious as to what my male readers thought of my list, and if they keep a list of their own. Lets get some dialog going!

I'm still going to try and convince Cheryl to put up her list, but she tells me she doesn't really have more than a couple of people on the actual list...she just knows which actors she finds attractive.

Your list prompted discussion with the wife, who asked what my list was. I'll post something as soon as I can think of who it would be.

I haven't really thought about it. The only possible crossover with yours though would be poor Scarlett, whom you disparage by putting her in the cut seat. I was surprised at your addition of a couple of the nominees at the expense of a more-attractive Jessica Stover -- I guess though she's not a big celebrity and the fact that she'll return emails puts her too close for celebrity-list comfort.

Putting Jessica Stover on my list crosses the line between being someone who enjoys her work and posts to her blog, to that of stalker.

I think one of the rules has to be that you cannot actually be having any type of dialog with the people on your list. That crosses the line between the spirit of the list and actually looking for an affair.

And don't tell me that you haven't seen an actress in a movie or on television and thought, just for a second, "I'd tap that!" If you have never had that thought we will have to revoke your membership in the male gender. Hell, I'm as loyal as they come and I still have that thought everytime I see Paige Davis on Trading Spaces.

I don't know if I'd say "I'd tap that!" After I traded in my Escalade I lost alot of street cred.

It's not that I don't have that reaction, it's just that I never thought about putting together a formal list.

Are you pulling a Ross and having it laminated?

Curt Sawyer said...

There will be no lamination. Putting it up on my blog is as far as I am going with it.

I cannot believe that no-one has at least one actress (or actor for some of the guys who read this blog) that they can immediately rattle off as being on their list, even if they have never heard of the list concept.

I've had the hots for Meg Ryan ever since The Presidio (although her affair with Russel Crowe put her dangerously close to being dropped), and even Cheryl could answer "Paige Davis" if anyone ever asked her what actress was on my list, before I even actually wrote it down.

I think people just don't want to fess up to who is on their list.

It's not that I can't rattle one off, it's that I don't want to regret the choice and realize she would be No. 6.

Certainly there is someone in your top 3 whom you know to be in your top three? A safe bet, as it were?

;-)

Am I really the only person who has thought of this? Maybe I'm the freak...nah, I'm too cool to be bad.

:-)

A safe bet would be Catherine Zeta-Jones.

A co-worker of mine suggested Angelina Jolie, but ugh blech. Too much of a Mick Jagger vibe for me.

Sherri already knows mine - I only have two off the top of my head - Jennifer Garner from Alias and particularly as Elektra (in both the Elektra and Daredevil movies) and the other being Shania Twain - she's just too cute (and in general I don't even like country music - but I like hers).

Oh - and I don't get Angelina Jolie either - I think -s hit the nail on the head - at first glance it's like wow and then there's the lip and all I can think about is Mick Jagger.

Faye Valentine (from Cowboy Bebop)

Betty Rubble

Salma Hayek

Jewel Staite

Teri Hatcher (but only from the first 2 seasons of "The New Adventures of Lois and Clark" when she had meat on her bones).

Ok here it is. Not laminated, as my opinion is allowed to change.

Catherine Zeta-Jones. She should just be named queen of these lists.

Elisa Cuthbert. Not for her work in 24 -- be sure and watch "The Girl Next Door."

Allison Moorer. My country side. You've probably never heard of her (she was nominated for an Emmy for best song from the "Horse Whisperer.")

Rena Sofer. Who you ask? You'll recognize her when you go to the link.

Number 5 was tough, so, like with Curt's list, she may drop if I have a "I'd Tap That" moment while watching a movie or tv:

Kelly Clarkson.

Cheryl added another person to her list...or I guess she just remembered that another person is on her list.

Jesse Martin

Oh yeah, Elisa should be Elisha.

Here's Rachel's list:

Brett Favre.

Kirk Herbstreit.

Jamie Deen. Paula Deen's taller son.

Kiefer.

Ben Roethlisberger.

Ok, Andy. Now we want to see Jen's list.
